Queens Connection

QCH’s Queens Connection provides borough-wide transportation information and referral to, and advocacy on behalf of, seniors participating in Queens Community House programs and other community-based programs for older adults.

It also co-ordinates transportation for older adults throughout Queens through its operation of the only state-of-the-art radio network in New York City, which links different service providers in Queens with various program-operated vehicles.

Transportation is available to the following QCH program participants: older adults getting to and from the Senior Centers at Forest Hills, Rego Park, and POMONOK and to and from Social Adult Day Services; and residents in the NORC program, for weekly food shopping trips, and monthly social outings.

It also assists other QCH participants in the Forest Hills and Rego Park communities to receive cost-sharing transportation to medical appointments.
Finally, it oversees transportation for meal deliveries in the Wheels-On-Meals program.
