NORC
The Forest Hills Co-op NORC Supportive Services Program is a collaborative partnership between the Queens Community House, NYCHA, VNSNY, North Shore Forest Hills Hospital, and the NYC Department for the Aging.  “NORC” stands for “Naturally Occurring Retirement Community.” It refers to a particular housing complex or a clearly defined geographic community that, without planning, has developed a high percentage of residents aged 60 years and older.

QCH’s NORC program offers a spectrum of social, educational and health care services for NORC residents to enable them to “age in place,” by remaining in their own homes for as long as possible. NORC helps ensure an enhanced quality of life for seniors in their own familiar environment.

Program hours: Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm

The Forest Hills Co-op Supportive Services Programs are free of charge for senior residents of the Forest Hills Cooperative who live at these locations:
  • 62-27 108th Street
  • 108-53 62nd Drive
  • 110-01 62nd Drive
The NORC office is located at 108-03 62nd Drive in Building 1 of the Cooperative, next to the management office. Our staff is bilingual in Spanish, Russian, Yiddish and we have access to Chinese translation.  Our supportive services programs provide a holistic and preventive approach to maintaining the well-being of seniors residing here.  Our philosophy, that there are leaders in all communities, is reflected in the valuable services made possible by our volunteers.
