Neighborhood Preservation
Our staff works with tenants and residential property owners to provide:
- Hands-on help with housing-related problems and entitlements. We specialize in helping seniors obtain SCRIE (Senior Citizens Rent Increase Exemption) and other housing-related benefits and assistance
- Organizing and technical assistance to tenants and housing co-operatives
- Education on landlord-tenant issues, tenants’ rights and entitlements through presentations and workshops for the general public, tenant associations, civic groups and others
- Technical assistance to community-based housing and other organizations on housing problems confronting their constituents

Open Intake Hours at Pomonok: Friday Friday: 10am - 12pm

Queens Community Board 8 includes Fresh Meadows, Cunningham Heights, Hilltop Village, Pomonok Houses, Hillcrest Estates, Jamaica Estates, Jamaica Hills, Holliswood, Flushing South, Flushing Suburban, Utopia, Kew Gardens-Hills, and Briarwood.
