Youth Employment Services

Queens Community House Youth Employment Services provide multiple programs aimed at preparing teens for after-school, weekend and summer jobs, and connecting them with those opportunities. A Job Bank matches interested teens with jobs QCH has identified in the broader community, as well as at QCH itself. Employment training workshops that teach resume preparation, job seeking and interviewing skills, and career options are offered. Job Fairs are held twice a year, in the Fall and Spring.

Employment opportunities available for teens at Queens Community House include positions in our tutorial program and after-school programs.Through Neighborhood Intergenerational Chore and Errand Service (NICE) teens provide shopping and laundry services for frail homebound elderly people.

Employment and paid internships are also available to participants in the QCH Learning to Work program at John Adams HS and VOYAGES Preparatory High School.
